Kiren graduated with Honours from King’s College London in 2014 and obtained her diploma of membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Edinburgh (MFDS RCS Ed.) in 2016.
Kiren successfully completed her 4-year specialist training programme in Endodontology qualifying with Distinction, at King’s College London Dental Institute. She has since returned as a part-time specialist clinical teacher at Guy’s Hospital, supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate endodontic students. She has also been awarded the prestigious Membership in Endodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
She has a broad range of skills, having worked in general practice for many years and through her previous positions in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Northampton General Hospital and in the Restorative Dentistry department at Bristol Dental Hospital, providing a range of complex treatments for patients referred for endodontic and restorative care.
Kiren is passionate about providing high quality endodontic care/ root canal treatments to relieve her patients of pain and allow them to keep their teeth for longer. She enjoys keeping up to date with the latest advances in the field of endodontics. Her friendly and compassionate nature coupled with her experience and motivation to provide high standards of care enable her patients to feel at ease.

Outside of saving teeth, Kiren enjoys keeping fit, experimenting in the kitchen and spending time with friends and family. She is also a novice astronomer! When not looking into root canals, she loves to swap her endodontic microscope for a telescope or pair of binoculars and star gaze when the skies allow!

Professor Aylin Baysan is Clinical Professor in Cariology and Minimally Invasive Dentistry at Queen Mary University of London and a GDC-registered Specialist in Endodontics and Prosthodontics. She also holds adjunct and honorary professorships at Bezmialem Vakıf University and The University of Hong Kong.
Her research has focused on minimally invasive dentistry, root caries management, fluoride therapies, and ozone treatment, where she became a patent holder for the use of ozone in root decay management. She led some of the earliest clinical research on 5,000 ppm fluoride toothpaste (Duraphat), with findings later referenced in UK oral health guidance. Professor Baysan has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters and is editor of the book Interdisciplinary Clinical and Scientific Approaches on Minimally Invasive Dentistry.
Professor Baysan leads undergraduate Endodontics teaching and directs the Master’s and Clinical Doctorate programmes in Minimally Invasive Dentistry at QMUL. She has supervised numerous PhD and MSc researchers and has received several national and international awards for her contributions to geriatric oral research and restorative dentistry.
Internationally, she is Founder and former President of the IADR Minimally Invasive Dentistry Network and has held leadership roles within IADR and ORCA. Alongside her academic work, she is committed to public engagement, oral-systemic health awareness, mentorship, and promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within clinical academia.
