To begin the natural sync smile we would straighten the teeth. This involves using Invisalign® or fixed braces to correct the position of the teeth before composite can be applied to the edges of the teeth.
When the teeth are straightened our bespoke at home/in surgery whitening kit is used to elevate the shade of your newly aligned teeth.
To finish the your makeover we use composite bonding, like a veneer, to contour the edges or over the full surface of the tooth (this last step will depend on your choice of package).
This can be achieved without aligning the teeth however optimum results are achieved with aligning the teeth first.

I had been thinking of getting some cosmetic work done for a long time but didn’t know where to start. I visited five dentists most of whom were much more local to where I live but as soon as I visited Sync Addlestone and spoke to Dr Jay and Sasha I felt relaxed and taken care of. Everything from the very start was so professional but also welcoming and friendly. I was really put at ease.
Treatment was superb, thorough, and highly skilled and even when I had concerns or queries Dr Jay would take the time to email and answer them or I could call and relay them to Sasha to pass on. I’ve probably been a pain as a client being so particular, but I cannot recommend the clinic or Dr Jays work more highly. The whole team of people there are excellent, and the service is outstanding. Thank you all and especially Dr Jay for your expert work and for going above and beyond to make sure I got the smile I wanted.

A gentle force is applied to the tooth to move it through the bone in your jaw to get it into the correct position.
The best way to clean your aligners is by brushing and rinsing them in lukewarm water and using special cleaning tablets. It’s important that you brush your teeth after each meal before re-inserting your aligners to maintain good oral hygiene.
The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the individual case. Treatment usually takes around 12-18 months, however simpler orthodontic cases can be completed in less than a year.
As well as enabling you to have 'The Perfect Smile', orthodontic treatment can also improve the function and health of your teeth. By correcting the way you bite and reducing food and plaque trapping.
Yes, clear braces (Invisalign) are sets of virtually invisible aligners that fit over your teeth; there are no wires or brackets involved.
We recommend that the majority of patients see their Orthodontist every 6-8 weeks
Results should be forever. However you must wear your removable/fixed retainers for life.
Tooth whitening is carried out by you wearing custom made dental trays overnight. These trays are filled with a gel, which gently whitens your teeth.
This may take 2-3 weeks, but may take longer depending on how white you want your teeth to be.
You would need an initial appointment to assess whether you have a healthy mouth and dentition. A scan or impression is then taken of your top and bottom teeth to create bespoke whitening trays.
Your second appointment involves showing you how to whiten your teeth and answering any questions you may have. We then provide you with the whitening gel and your trays, as well as some sensitivity toothpaste.
There shouldn’t be any dental pain, however you may experience short term sensitivity. This is completely reversible and subsides when you stop whitening.
Yes tooth whitening is completely safe as long as your mouth and dentition are healthy.
The results last forever. You may need to top up the whitening every now and then by purchasing a single syringe of gel every 6-12 months. This will depend on how white your teeth are, your diet and oral hygiene.
Yes you can however fillings/crowns do not change colour with whitening.
This Is achieved by layering tooth coloured composite resin onto the enamel of your teeth. It sticks onto the tooth using a tooth adhesive, and is then set into placed instantly.
Yes composite bonding can repair, worn down teeth or teeth which have been damaged due to trauma or decay.
This may take several hours to achieve depending on how many teeth are to be treated. However it can normally be done in a single visit.
Whitening your teeth professionally gives your teeth a brighter and more even blend of shade to your teeth, making the composite that’s placed on your teeth look even better.
No there is no damage to your natural teeth, should you want to remove the composite during your life, this can be done using specialised composite removing drills, that do not damage tooth enamel.
It tends to last 5-8 years. However this is just an average, and depending on your diet, oral hygiene and smoking habits may last longer.
Yes you can straight away.
By placing composite veneers it can make mild crowding appear straight and symmetrical.
No there is no injections or pain as there is no damage to natural tooth.
In most cases it is a completely non-invasive treatment with no drilling. However in some composite veneer cases, to make the teeth appear more aligned a small amount of enamel needs to be trimmed.
