New Year Dental Treatments Surrey - New Year New Smile

As we embark on a new year, many of us are eager to set new goals and make positive changes. According to Finder.com, 3 in 4 Brits (74%) will set themselves New Year’s resolutions for 2025, which is around 40 million people. Why not start your year off by getting the smile you’ve always dreamed of, and one that will leave you feeling more confident? At our dental practices in Surrey and Berkshire, we’re excited to offer a full range of transformative dental treatments to help you achieve your dream smile and get yourself a smile makeover for the new year ahead.

A brighter smile with teeth whitening

A brighter, whiter smile can instantly boost your confidence and make a huge difference in how you look and feel. Our at-home teeth whitening system, expertly supervised by our dental team, is one of our most popular treatments for a reason. Teeth whitening is a convenient and effective way to brighten your smile and give you the confidence to smile again.

Teeth become dull and appear yellow as we age. This is due to many reasons and is inevitable but having your teeth professionally whitened will help to remove those stains and the dullness that brushing just can’t reach. We offer professional teeth whitening from the comfort of your own home. Initially, you will come to our dental practice to have a consultation. We will take moulds of your teeth, which will be used to create your custom-made trays. The tailored trays are important because they fit snugly and hold the whitening gel over your teeth but not your gums. This lessens tooth sensitivity. Once your trays are ready, you can visit us, and we will show you how to use them. The treatment takes several weeks and provides fantastic results.

A solution for missing teeth with dental implants

Missing teeth can impact your oral health, speech, and self-esteem. Dental implants offer a long-lasting and natural-looking solution. These titanium implants fuse with your jawbone, providing a strong foundation for replacement teeth. Whether you need to replace a single tooth or multiple teeth, dental implants can restore your smile and improve your overall oral health.

When you have dental implants, we take X-rays to get a full picture of your jaw. There must be enough bone density to support an implant. If there isn’t enough, we can look into bone grafts or All on 4 or All on 6 as options, instead. When we place the implant, we always use anaesthetic and make sure you are completely at ease when having the implant placed. We place a temporary crown or bridge at the site to keep the area protected while the implant fuses and heals. It takes a few months for the implant to fully fuse to the jawbone. Once this healing has taken place, you will come back in for the fitting of the replacement tooth or teeth, and you will have your full smile back again.

A Hollywood smile, within reach with dental veneers

Dental veneers are thin, custom-made shells that are bonded to the front surface of your teeth. They can be used to correct a variety of cosmetic dental issues, including chipped, cracked, discoloured, or misaligned teeth. With veneers, you can achieve a beautiful, uniform smile that will hopefully leave you feeling more confident and radiant.

Many patients are shocked by the teeth transformation veneers can provide in as little as two weeks. At your initial consultation, we will ensure your teeth are suitable for veneers, then we will take scans and photos of your teeth and plan the position and shape of the veneers. We can give you a preview of how your teeth will appear. Once you are satisfied with your appearance, we will prepare the teeth.

When the veneers are ready, we will invite you to a fitting appointment, where your veneers will be fixed with special dental adhesive.

A quick fix for minor imperfections with composite bonding

For minor chips, cracks, or gaps, composite bonding may be the perfect solution. This minimally invasive procedure involves applying a tooth-coloured resin to the affected area and shaping it to match your natural teeth. Composite bonding can be completed in a single visit, providing a quick and affordable way to improve your smile.

For any light damage to your front teeth or contouring your bite surfaces on the back teeth, we can use composite bonding to rebuild teeth. Composite is a special dental resin made from a combination of plastic and glass. It can perfectly mimic tooth enamel and we can colour-match it to your tooth colour, so it looks just like your tooth.

Composite can be built directly on your tooth so there is no need to strip away a layer of enamel. Bonding requires skill to accurately build up the shape of a tooth from scratch and we have restorative dentistry experience to make it appear as if there was no damage in the first place.
