Brighten your smile in time for Christmas

The time of year when the most photographs are taken to look back on for years to come. But have you got a smile that you would be happy to show to all the family? Teeth whitening treatment can give you the boost you need to have you grinning again. Here at Sync, teeth whitening is one of our most popular treatments and you are safe in our capable and experienced hands.

, Brighten your smile in time for ChristmasAlthough nothing will remove stains quite like professional teeth whitening, Colgate have commended the following foods on their ability to clean the mouth naturally:

  • Apples
  • Pears
  • Celery
  • Carrots
  • Cauliflower
  • Cucumber

But be careful when eating fruits as although they are good for you, some can be particularly high in sugar, so eat them in moderation.

All teeth fade over the years, but dull teeth can be exacerbated by certain food, drinks and lifestyle choices, such as smoking, drinking red wine or coffee. Professional teeth whitening removes the stains that everyday brushing cannot. There are two options to achieve a brighter, whiter smile. We can offer in-clinic and at-home whitening.

In-Clinic Whitening

The quickest way to whiter teeth is in-clinic whitening, where we lighten your teeth up to several shades using bleach. Firstly, we will grade your current tooth colour, then apply a putty which protects your gums against the treatment. We then whiten your teeth using whitening gel and an LED lamp, which can brighten your smile in just one session.

Alternatively, we now offer whitening that can be carried out in the comfort of your home. We will need to take moulds of your mouth to produce whitening trays. The trays are created with high precision ensuring that your gums are protected against the treatment and the gel will sit in a flat layer against your teeth, producing an even shade of white all over.

Don’t worry, once your trays are ready for collection, we will show you how they work and talk through how to carry the process out at home. The treatment works more gradually than in-clinic whitening and will take up to a few weeks. However, top-ups can be purchased so that you can maintain your pearly whites whenever you wish.
